Marcia and I just returned from WIsconsin where we spent two delightful nights at the Taylor Home. We especially enjoyed the hospitality so graciously granted us. If any of you want a laid-back experience of the 60's you should try spending some time in Clear Lake, WI. Wes says, hey!

Doris and I had a fantastic time this past weekend with our friends Craig and Shari Baer. It was the perfect way to celebrate my wife's birthday! Your Inn is almost beyond belief. No detail was left undone. It really was like stepping out of a time machine and right into Andy Taylor's living room! But beyond that, you are the perfect hosts. We look forward to returning again (and again), and will certainly tell all of our friends. Thanks again!!!

I just wanted to comment on what a great job you'll did recreating the Taylor Home. We live very close to where Andy lived on Roanoke Island, Outer Banks, NC.
One Winter, after the tourist had all gone home we even saw Andy shopping in our local grocery store.
He will be sadly missed. Your B&B is a great tribute to time gone by.

We just stayed in our first "bed and breakfast", the Taylor Home Inn!! Quite by accident, we were lucky enough to find this gem. Delightfully decorated, beyond clean, and with the sweetest hostess on the planet. Marsha(and Ellie) made us feel soooo at home from the moment we got out of our car. (The Andy Griffith theme is a bonus.) It was so relaxing and
enjoyable, we could stay forever. Marsha went way out her way to "taxi" us to an event in town!! The breakfast was beyond belief!! We will recommend the
Taylor Home Inn to everyone we know!

Just one word describes this place and that word is AMAZING!! My wife and I have been fans of the Andy Griffith show since we were kids. I live in the Chicago area and we get to watch the show twice daily. On METOO-TV, it is on at noon and again at 10:30PM Mon-Fri. I had always wondered what it would be like to have lived in the town of Mayberry with the likes of Andy, Barney, Opie, Aunt Bee, Goober, Gomer and Floyd, heck, even Otis. What it would be like to hang out in the Courthouse and Wally's filling station and to have the opportunity to experience a meal while sitting in the Taylor home. Well we no longer have to wonder what it will be liked because we experienced it ALL yesterday. From taking out initial tour of the grounds and inside the house to the basement to tour the nearly completed Courthouse, all that is missing now is the jail cell doors. After getting settled in we sat on the front porch for a couple of hours before heading out to a town near by for dinner. Then back to the house and enjoyed the evening in the Television room watching episodes of the show. After a great nights rest (Andy's room) we headed back out to the front porch until Marsha, the proprieter announced that breakfast was being served and Oh my word, what a breakfast it was. We got plenty of great photos of the House, inside and out. Wally's Filling Station and the Courthouse. Our only regret, we did not stay another night, which we will the next time that we are there. Thanks to Marsha for a wonderful time. God willing we will meet again.

Oh my goodness! I just learned about your bed and breakfast and am so excited to come and sleep in Aunt Bee's room! I got out my atlas and you're only 295 miles away, so I'll see you in May or June!
p.s. I looked at your pictures while watching my Andy Griffith DVD's and was amazed at how accurate the details in your home are. Great job!

Dave Wally's Service Station or the Jail. Karl was very impressed. It was a great memory to share our 30th Wedding Anniversary on Sept 5th,2010. The other couple that was with us, had a great time. They were very impressed as well. We definetly plan on returning for another visit, just nor sure when. Thanks for a great time. Karl & Marilyn Allen

I have been a BIG fan of the show for over 40 years now. Plan on visiting Mt. Airy spring of 2011. Wife read about your home in a magazine and we live 35 NW of Chicago and plan on getting up your way and stay at your wonderful place. I'm afraid though that I may not want to leave and you may have to get Andy and ole man Weaver to evict me. You will be hearing from us soon.
